A Greenville man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg on Sunday afternoon after he was allegedly confronted by three other men, the Greenville Police Department reported on Wednesday.
The incident took place in the 100 block of Fairlane Road and the 40-year-old victim, Tywan Artis, was transported to Vidant Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, department spokeswoman Kristen Hunter said.
Hunter said that when officers responded to the area, which is near Hooker Road, Artis was unable to provide details as to what occurred other than to say he was confronted by three men.
A report indicates that two .40 caliber shell casings and a .380 caliber shell casing were recovered at the scene.
The case remains under investigation.
