Teen accused of burglarizing wrecker business, at large

A Greenville teenager accused of breaking into a Bethel-area wrecker business on Sept. 22 remains at-large, the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday afternoon.

Deputies are searching for 17-year-old Jamir Lametric Willoughby, 112 Ridge Place. The office reports he cut a fence at Wallace Towing and Salvage, broke into three vehicles on the lot, and stole multiple items during the overnight hours. The items stolen have an estimated valued of $1,440.

The business is located at 5253 N.C. 11 North. Willoughby is facing three counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, three counts of larceny and one count of trespassing.
