Men charged with selling drugs at local motel

Pitt County Sheriff’s deputies arrested and charged two Greenville men on Oct.26 after they were found with heroin, cocaine and an undisclosed amount of cash at the Camelot Inn, 2828 S. Memorial Drive, Greenville.

The arrest came after a month-long investigation by detectives.    

James Allen Johnson, 27, is charged with trafficking heroin, possession with the intent to sell /deliver cocaine, possession with the intent to sell /deliver marijuana, possession with the intent to sell /deliver heroin, maintain vehicle/ dwelling, and drug paraphernalia.  He is currently in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $1 million bond. 

Jason Jamar Carmon, 31, is charged with possession of heroin.  He was given a $15,000 bond and has since bonded out. 

Both men are expected to make their first court appearance today.
