Faulkner Gallery

“Spellbound: Dreams, Magic and Unnatural Order,” artwork by Sue Luddeke and Maria Modlin, will be on exhibit through Sept. 28 in Joyner Library’s Janice B. Faulkner Gallery on the ECU campus. Call 328-0287

Gray Gallery

“Shift,” an exhibition of artworks by ECU master of fine arts students, will be on display from Thursday through Aug. 24 in The Burroughs Wellcome Senior Gallery, adjacent to Gray Gallery on the ECU campus. The exhibit will feature the work of Jessica Bradsher, Holly Roddenbery, Joanne Lang, Lacey Hargroder, Ronson Shultz, Kayla Clark, Adam Atkinson, Sephra Reyes, Claire White, Tim Rickett, Youngjae Kim, Carolyn Buss, Tim Christensen, Robin Carter, Heather McLelland, Lauren Purcell, Epiphany Knedler, Dana Smessaert, Junghoon Han and Mairin Gwyn.

Art class

■ Smiles and Frowns Playhouse children’s theater will host auditions for “Alice in Wonderland” from 5-7 p.m. Aug. 29-30 at the Doug Mitchell Auditorium, 4354 Lee St., Ayden. ■ Auditions for the Greenville Choral Society’s concert choir will be held from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Aug. 25 and from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 26. “Revisiting Cornerstones: The Louis Orr Etchings of North Carolina,” will be on exhibit through Oct. 7 in the West Wing Gallery.

Greenville Brushstrokes

Selected work from three dozen members of Greenville Brushstrokes will be featured at the Community Council for the Arts, 400 N. Queen St., Kinston, through Sept. 1.
