There was plenty of pink on display Tuesday afternoon at J.H. Rose, as the girls tennis team hosted its annual Ball Drop event, raising over $2,500.

The 50/50 raffle raised money for Strides Against Breast Cancer of the American Cancer Society and the Liz Upton Student Scholarship Fund.

On hand was small tennis tournament featuring pink uniforms, pink snacks and pink decorations.

The event is hosted in honor of former JHR boys and girls tennis coach Liz Upton, who led both programs for nearly 20 years before being diagnosed. She passed away in 2017.

The program and school hope to continue hosting the fundraiser in the upcoming years.
