Five facing armed robbery charges in Pasquotank

A Pasquotank County grand jury has indicted five people on charges of conspiring to commit armed robbery in connection with an alleged holdup in June.
Dante Alexander, Brandon Butler, Allyn Rosenberger, Chantay Stokley and Taylor Wymer all will face charges in Pasquotank Superior Court.
According to the indictments, Alexander, Butler, Rosenberger, Stokley and Wymer are charged with conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Additionally, Stokley is indicted for attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and aiding and abetting possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The records show Alexander is indicted for both possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and being a habitual felon.
Alexander was convicted in August 2013 in Pasquotank on a charge of conspiring to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
N.C. Public Safety records show Alexander served approximately 4½ years behind bars for that conviction.
The public safety records also show Alexander has convictions in Pasquotank dating back to 2000.
They include common law robbery, assault, felony breaking and entering, driving while impaired, larceny, misdemeanor breaking and entering, possession of illegal drugs and possession of illegal drug paraphernalia.
The indictments against the five accused persons for the alleged holdup of Lee on June 12 were handed down on Oct. 1. The indictments don't provide further specifics about the alleged holdup, except to say Lee was robbed of money and property.
No trial dates have yet been set for Alexander, 33, of the 500 block of York Street, Butler, 25, of the 200 block of North N.C. Highway 34, Camden County, Rosenberger, 20, of the 200 block of Sunset Drive, Stokley, 38, of the 100 block of Creek Road, and Wymer, 25, of the 400 block of Okisko Road.
According to the Pasquotank Sheriff's Office, at least three of the accused persons are in custody at Albemarle District Jail.
Alexander is being held on $75,000 secured bond, Rosenberger is being held on $37,000 secured bond and Wymer is being held on $11,000 secured bond.
