Two men are facing drug and weapons after being arrested early Monday morning, according to a Greenville Police Department report. 

The arrest took place at 3929 Sterling Point Drive at 12:42 a.m., the report stated. There was no indication what prompted the arrest.

According to the report, Dontarius Marquise Barrett of 4029 Blue Eyes Road, Bethel, was charged with felony possession and possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for the sale of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon and resisting or obstructing a public officer.

Deshon Gerrod Suggs of 1631 Eastwood Drive, Kinston, also was charged with felony possession and possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for the sale of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a stolen firearm and resisting or obstructing a public officer. The firearm in question is a semi-automatic handgun, the report stated.

Both men were booked into the Pitt County Detention Center. No bond information was available.

The police department released reports Friday with the following details and allegations:

Break-ins, thefts

■ 300 block Cadillac Street, 7:30-9 p.m. Aug. 9: purse containing various forms of identification valued at $20 stolen form home; case inactive.

■ 210 S. W. Greenville Blvd., 8:09 a.m. Aug. 9: attempted theft at Walmart; no items listed as stolen; case inactive.

■ 714 S. E. Greenville Blvd., 7:40 p.m. Aug. 9: 80 various clothing items valued at $2,812.50 stolen from J.C. Penny and recovered; investigation ongoing.

■ 1200 block Battle Street, midnight Aug. 1-2:54 p.m. Aug. 8: residence entered forcibly; no items stolen; window frame sustained $200 in damages; case inactive.

■ 200 block Southwest Greenville Boulevard, 8 a.m. Aug. 1-8 a.m. Aug. 3: Dell laptop valued at $250 stolen; case inactive.

Assaults

3000 block Clubway Drive, 9:10-9:15 a.m. Aug. 9: 66-year-old man assaulted in road; extent of injuries not reported; investigation ongoing.

1200 block Chestnut Street, 7:30-8:11 p.m. Aug. 8: 30-year-old man assaulted in home by ex-girlfriend; extent of injuries not reported; case inactive.

Property Damage

■ 2200 block Stantonsburg Road, 9 a.m.-6:15 p.m. Aug. 9: 1996 Ford Expedition sustained $200 in damages in parking lot; case inactive.

■ 1000 block Westover Drive, 8 a.m.-noon Aug. 9: 2005 Dodge Durango sustained $800 in damages at home; case inactive.

■ 2300 block E. Third Street, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 6: mailbox sustained $50 in damages at home; case inactive.

■ 1100 block Douglas Avenue, 10:30 p.m. Aug. 3-7 a.m. Aug. 4: 2007 Audi Quatro sustained $10,000 in damages in parking lot; paper vehicle tag valued at $30 stolen; investigation ongoing.

PITT COUNTY

The sheriff’s office released reports with the following details and allegations:

Break-ins, thefts

■ 700 block Price Road, near Bethel, 3:45-3:50 p.m. Aug. 9: vehicle entered forcibly; Rockford speaker, Rockford amp and car television valued at $950 stolen from along road by known person; investigation ongoing.

■ 3300 block Avon Road, midnight July 28-1 p.m. Aug. 9: two Dewalt impact guns, drill, saw zall and flashlight, all valued at $600, stolen from home by friend and recovered; assorted bits and sockets and three 20 volt battery chargers valued at $150 stolen from home by friend and not recovered; investigation ongoing.

Property Damage

■ 4500 block U.S. 264 West and Mozingo Road, 10 p.m. Aug. 8-8:51 a.m. Aug. 9: four windows and convertible top of vehicle sustained $2,500 in damages along road; case closed/cleared.

■ 5000 block Eastern Pines Road, 9:30 a.m. Aug. 9: power tool sustained $7,000 in damages by known person at gas station; investigation ongoing.
