BYH to the most helpful young lady who works the front checkout at CVS on S. Memorial Drive. When I realized that my wallet was missing after I made a purchase there and had left the store, I called her. She took time to check the parking lot where I thought it was lost, and even had security camera footage viewed. I found the wallet later, but thank you so much for your great customer service and reassurance. You are special!
BYH to the car dealership that shares its “elevator music” with everyone within a half-mile radius. It's especially lovely at 4 a.m.
Nineteen lives lost last year in our county due to traffic crashes. Bless the hearts of our county and city leaders for remaining quiet about these 19 fatal tragedies in a single year. Many of our roads and drivers are dangerous and they fail to adopt a "Vision Zero" idea to systematically address the dangers. Our leaders are failing to keep each of us safe on our roads.
BYH to Greenville's trendy barbecue restaurant where you order at a register and then a waitress brings your food. Since the receipt has a place to leave a tip, what's with the tip jar by the register? Do the cashiers get paid by tips also? Is this the latest custom? I don't want to appear ignorant. Please inform me! BYH again.
BYH, why can we afford the Iraq and Afghanistan wars ($4-6 trillion), Wall Street bailouts ($12.8 trillion), Big Oil subsidies ($37.5 billion a year), and the F-35 program ($1.5 trillion), but we cannot afford health care, infrastructure, clean environment, education, public transport or public elections?
BYH to the individuals in Shamrock subdivision for getting the newspapers for your neighbors every morning. Guess what? I do it too — and the trash cans — and enjoy it every time on New Circle Drive in Ayden.
BYH, wearing flag apparel isn't patriotism — it's defilement.
BYH city leaders. Please help save the Jones-Lee historic home on 805 Evans St., even if we have to move it! These historic homes add character and beauty to our city. I remember loving this home's architecture even as a little girl. Let's not let this Greenville treasure go!
Bless the heart of the backwards county commissioners and their failure to understand that we are now in modern times. I heard that they are discussing purchasing a horse to deliver messages for their economic development department. Drain the swamp!
BYH to the person who thinks internet is a luxury. You obviously have not tried to apply to a job in the last decade. You probably also still mail a check to GUC each month to pay your bill.
BYH to Winterville. The greenway project is the perfect example of NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard). This is why we can't have anything nice.
BYH — Why can't we just all get along?
