Feb. 6 Bless Your Heart
Wednesday, February 6, 2019
A big bless your heart to my neighbors in Shamrock subdivision. This gentleman and his lovely wife bring our paper up off the street and put it on our door every morning, and they do this for most of the folks in the neighborhood. They are just true angels and I’d like to see that they’re recognized.
BYH to ECU and their incredibly incompetent faculty parking decisions. There's no excuse for a six-plus-year wait list on a parking lot that is regularly half empty and even less of an excuse for making faculty pay to park. This university has some incredibly backwards situations, to say the least.
BYH to the BYH comment, “Drinking still is not as bad as smoking that dope.” Where’s this person been all their life? Alcohol is the worst drug there is. It kills more people than any drug out there. It also kills more innocent people from drunk drivers and other crimes.
Bless our hearts. Everybody wants to be a victim these days. If you are traumatized by a MAGA hat or a stone statue or a Confederate flag or anything else of your choice, believe in your heart of hearts that I don’t care, nor does anyone else! Please grow up and start acting like a real adult.
BYH have the city to update its Comprehensive Transportation Plan to ensure left turn barriers are constructed or paid for in-lieu. Don't blame county planners for city problems.
So now that the city is making people make right-hand turns from Wimbledon onto Arlington Boulevard, how does it plan to stop drivers from carelessly speeding through the employee parking lot behind the office buildings and turning onto Bradford and then turning left?? It was already dangerous enough because of the people living in the Bradford apartments speeding through the parking lot narrowly missing employees pulling out of their parking spaces.
How exactly are the public schools going to solve the problem of bullying when all power has been taken away from teachers? If the teachers report a child for bullying they are apt to be suspended themselves. If you want to know the truth, the bullies run the schools.
Now the tax office wants to know how much money you make off your rental apartments. That is one way to slow down the construction of apartments. It was the tax man that finally got Al Capone. Render unto Caesar that which is his and he will solve the problem of stormwater runoff.
Please be considerate when using the Brook Valley shortcut. I had a person tailgating me as I rode the cut-through yesterday. They are nice enough to allow us to use their neighborhood roads, so be kind enough to follow the speed limit. You will never be high class if you are not considerate of others.
BYH — We may have all come on different ships, but we're in the same boat now. — The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
