Bless Your Heart, Uptown Greenville! Thank you for working with ECU to bring the Avett Brothers to ECU to raise awareness for Hurricane Florence relief. I cannot wait to go to this concert. Keep up the great work.
So this is the way that Corey Booker and the Democrats want our justice system. You are accused of robbing a bank 30 years ago, but you were out of the state at that time, so they change the date to 25 years ago, when you were in that state. It doesn't matter if there is no evidence, you are guilty, because even if you didn't do it, some other brown-haired man did. Is this the justice system that you want? Bless our hearts.
BYH, as H.L. Mencken said in 1920: "As democracy is perfected, the office of the president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White Hose will be adorned by a downright moron.”
BYH to my doctor. He gave me the advice that I should try to walk or bike more every day. I then reminded him that his office buildings, like most medical buildings here in Greenville, had zero sidewalks, no bike lanes, and no bike parking. He admitted that they prefer people to drive and that parking for cars was included in the bill. He acknowledged that his office was quite hypocritical and, by their own policy, promoted obesity and laziness while they preached exercise and activity. I thanked him for his honesty and will look for a doctor who practices what they preach.
BYH, I enjoyed a wonderful cold Coca-Cola at the Landmark grocery and gas station. Thanks to Mayor Connelly for adjusting the temperature settings on the cola cooler.
The recent ruckus over the Supreme Court nominee has brought up talk of term limits for justices. Do that right after term limits for Congress. And right after term limits for marriage. Limit marriage to 10-year terms with an option to opt-out at each 10-year interval. Throw a party if you stay and throw a party if you go. A win-win.
Married couples are penalized greatly for being married. One tiny example, the best way for married couples to get free money to send their kids to college is to get a divorce or to never have been married at all.
BYH to those politicians and their supporters who feel it is necessary to put campaign signs at the entrances to Homestead Cemetery. Let’s show respect and some class and remove them from the area.
Bless your heart to Vidant Health. It is a shame that employees who have worked there for 20 or more years have to beg and plead to get paid for sick time that they have earned.
Bless the hearts of all that work with the public who call me “ma’am.” Try using “miss” instead — it makes me feel younger.
